Overview

The Condor 4000 XMC Series products are leading edge XMC form factor, rugged graphics/video cards for use in applications that require very high-end rugged graphics and computational power. Based on AMD’s Embedded Radeon™ E8860 discrete GPU, the Condor 4000 XMC Series products offer the highest level graphical and GPGPU performance available for the embedded and rugged market. Its built-in video decoder enables dual HD decoding of H.264, VC-1. MPEG4 and MPEG2 compressed video streams.

The product is offered in various ruggedized levels and has digital (DVI/DisplayPort) and analog (VGA) video outputs available from the front panel or rear XMC (Pn6) or PMC (Pn4) IO connectors. Up to six multi-format video outputs are possible depending on the variant. Conduction Cooled and Air Cooled variants are available. A variety of pin-outs are available to support VME, cPCI, VPX or Rugged PCIe machines with PMC, XMC or Front Panel IO. Delivering 768/48 GFLOPs of peak single/double precision floating point performance, the Condor 4000 XMC Series graphics processors are ideal for general purpose graphics processing unit (GPGPU) applications such as ultrasound, radar and video surveillance. Supported by the industry standard OpenCL™ programming language, GPGPU application software development is accelerated with the AMD Stream Software Development Kit (SDK). The SDK includes developer tools such as compiler, debugger, code profiler and math libraries. Graphics Core Next (GCN) architecture provides higher efficiency, Partially Resident Textures (PRT), Improved Anisotropic Filtering (AF) and improved DirectX® 11 Tessellation. The product comes with EIZO Rugged Solutions’ commitment of availability for up to 9 years (16 years with sales forecast) along with the legendary support from EIZO Rugged Solutions’ support team. An experienced support team is available for immediate assistance to troubleshoot and resolve any issues.

While Windows and Linux drivers are available by default, other real time operating systems (RTOS) such as VxWorks, Integrity and LynxOS may be supported as per customer requirements. DO-178B or DO-178C compliant RTOS drivers for use in safety critical environments are also available (optional).
