As the demand for signal intelligence, artificial intelligence, and unmanned systems increases, the need for smaller, faster, and more compatible technology skyrockets as data becomes the number one tool within the defense market. Due to the requirement of real-time processing and inherent parallelism in data driven computations, GPUs with large number of compute cores are ideal for modern edge computing. In today’s age, we need to ‘work smarter, not harder’ in order to achieve better results using less resources. It is too costly for defense companies to use multi-card solutions to achieve one common goal. Single-card solutions allow defense companies to achieve their goal of mission success, while reducing SWaP-C and components needed overall.
Extensive GPGPU computing and real-time video capture applications require high-end GPU processors in order to support a constant data stream. Single-card solutions can provide the compute capability, but also the ability to capture video, process data and metadata, provide hardware codecs and help further process the data, including AI inferencing.
EIZO Rugged Solutions designs products using the latest GPU technology to provide solutions that increase overall mission performance and support system interoperability. In SWaP-constrained systems, it is important to take advantage of embedded GPU computing hardware for low-latency processing applications such as SIGINT, C4ISR, unmanned systems, radar processing, raw-video streaming, and video encoding/decoding. Our GPGPU processing cards promote mission connectivity with real-time communication capabilities and boost intelligence systems’ situational awareness with parallel processing cores dedicated to sensor processing and data acquisition.
Our Condor line of rugged commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) graphics and video processor cards offer an all-in-one solution for video capture, process, display, encode, decode, and stream video/audio data, including metadata. We understand the need for specific board designs and customizable I/O configurations. That’s why our cards are available in various form factors such as rugged XMC, VPX, and PCI Express, and are available in either air-cooled or conduction-cooled variants. In addition, these single card solutions deliver real-time performance for encoding applications with dedicated H.265 and H.264 encode and decode engines.
Condor NVP2102AxX
The Condor NVP2102AxX is a rugged graphics & video capture card based on the NVIDIA Quadro Pascal P2000 GPU with 3G-SDI and CVBS inputs, and DVI/DisplayPort outputs. This high-performance XMC graphics card that captures both analog & digital raw frame-by-frame audio/video and metadata with exceptionally low latency. This all-in-one solution provides the ability to simultaneously capture, process, display, encode, decode, and stream video data while supporting CUDA and OpenCL based GPGPU computing, AI processing, deep learning and H.265/H.264 encoding & decoding.
Condor GR4 3U VPX
The Condor GR4-RTX3000 is a rugged 3U VPX form factor graphics/GPGPU/video capture processing card that is based on the NVIDIA Turing™ architecture. This card uses the NVIDIA Quadro RTX 3000 (TU106) GPU for advanced GPGPU computing and features four 3G-SDI inputs, four 3G-SDI outputs and one DisplayPort (4K UHD) output. The Condor GR4 3U VPX cards is a key component in High Performance Embedded Computing (HPEC) systems, as this one device handles data and image processing from up to four sensors to perform activities such as image enhancement, image analysis, video stitching, remote sensing, and target acquisition, target tracking, and several other data processing tasks.
Condor GR4-PCIe
The Condor GR4 PCIe is a rugged, passively cooled PCI Express form factor graphics/video capture/GPGPU processing card specifically designed for rugged rackmount servers and ISR applications. This card is designed with the NVIDIA Quadro™ RTX™ 3000 GPU and is ideal for a myriad of compute intensive applications that require 3G-SDI (or HD-SDI) data to be processed and displayed, such as, C4ISR and remote sensing / analysis. The product also has a built-in H.265 (HEVC) / H.264 (MPEG4 AVC) hardware encoder (NVENC) and decoder (NVDEC) and supports NVIDIA GPUDirect RDMA for transferring video data to the GPU with very low latency.
